Srinagar, Jan 04 (KNO): The Winter Carnival at Pahalgam turned into a mesmerizing musical affair as celebrated folk singers from India and Kashmir valley took the stage, performing a fascinating set of folk and Sufi melodies against the scenic beauty of Kashmir, with its snow-capped mountains.
According to the details gathered by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the crowd witnessed a great energetic performance of the popular “Bumbroo Bumbroo” song by Hanjura. The song did add an electric feel to the whole atmosphere.
It also said Hanjura, Noor Mohammad Sufi singer, Ishfaq Kawa and others also performed, making the atmosphere electric.
The concert was part of the Kashmir Winter Carnival, which beautifully combined traditional sounds with modern flavor, attracting all the music enthusiasts from the entire region.
Sharing her experience, Hanjura described her excitement for the New Year, “Fantabulous beginning to 2025 with this power-packed concert in Kashmir! We played all folk and Sufi melodious tunes and how magical it sounded!”
Notably, the event, which was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism, did not only showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region but also gave a platform to local talent. It must be mentioned that during winter, the carnival keeps on attracting tourists to the beautiful town of Pahalgam, which is further boosting tourism and giving a glimpse of the vibrant cultural scene of Kashmir.
